Silvia Lara is a cinematographer from Chihuahua, Mexico.

Her body of work consists of narrative, music video, commercial,  and experimental film in a variety of formats including digital, 8mm, 16mm and 35mm film.

 

In her narrative works, Silvia strives to visually map the emotional shifts in tone provided by the story and in doing so, makes a concerted effort to depict as honest a portrayal of the human condition as possible.

 

She holds an Associate’s degree in English & Literature, a Bachelor’s degree in film from UCLA, specializing in cinematography and is a Cinematography Alumni at the world renowned American Film Institute Conservatory in Hollywood, Ca.
